2021 – A New Year and An Opportunity for Improvement
Usually at the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve, we are all excitedly looking forward to the new year and what it may bring. I don’t think I am alone in being very happy to see the end of 2020 and I think we are all hesitant to make too many plans going forward!
I am however hopeful for 2021 to be an improvement!
Our New Website
Risus was established over 12 years ago, and our old website has seen us grow from a small business run from the garden shed, to a much bigger business! It has done the job perfectly well, but 2021 seems like a good opportunity to start afresh with a more modern look. We have a new logo and the website will, hopefully, offer a more pleasant and simpler way to shop!
Nothing has changed behind the scenes, but the overall look has changed a lot!
One big difference our regular customers will notice is how we display the price of items on the website. We have taken the decision to show the cost per item, rather than per pack – everything is still sold in wholesale quantities, but it should be nice and simple to establish the individual prices of items you are buying.
I am sure there will be a few teething problems along the way, so please do send me an email if you spot any errors on the website at all.
Our New Approach to Social Media
Another big change for 2021 will be our social media presence. It is my personal new years resolution to maximise our use of social media – we all spend so much time scrolling though various platforms, I think that as a business, we need to be found there.
So, if you don’t already, do give us a little like over at

Twitter and
Pinterest. I shall be sharing all our new toys as they arrive, so follow us to be the first to get your hands-on our new items!
I am starting 2021 with all 3 kids in school full time for the first time ever – and I am hoping we avoid the home-schooling months we experienced in 2020 – so this is a great opportunity for me to dedicate a little more time to Risus Wholesale.
Our New Products
As well as a new website and new attitude to social media, 2021 will also be bringing some fabulous new products to Risus Wholesale!
Summer & Outdoor ToysAfter last year’s glorious summer, we are hoping to expand our range of paddling pools, garden toys and outdoor games and sport equipment. Hopefully this wont jinx the prospect of some sunny summer months this year!
Party & Fancy DressWe are also anticipating finally being able to celebrate milestones and birthdays again, the way we all enjoy – with parties! We have so far had 9 months of missed parties and celebrations – when the time comes where we can meet with our friends and families again, the parties will be amazing!
We are hoping to have everything you will need from bunting and balloons to fancy dress accessories and eco-friendly party bag toys.
ToysWe shall also be constantly stocking new toys, arts and crafts, stationery items and gifts.
