Most people involved in a school PTA will have heard the term Elfridges in relation to Christmas events!
It is the name often given to a stall at an event or a pop up shop selling gifts to children for adults - whether its mum and dad, grandparents or any other family member!
At my children's school, we convert the library into Elfridges at our Christmas Fair. We sell a range of gifts for men, women and unisex, all at the same price. Adult's aren't allowed in and the stall is run by our Year 6's. Children chose their items, pop them in gift bags and write out a gift tag before leaving the room! They then have a gift ready to go under the tree.
All the kids absolutely love this opportunity to buy a present and if your school doesn't do it already, you should give it a go!
